Posting Guidelines

Good Omens After Dark is our safe place to talk about an angel and a demon fuckin’; share art and fics and be relentlessly creative together; thirst openly over our boys; have a good time messing around on shitposts; and celebrate and explore healthy, positive sexuality–united by a love of Good Omens, Michael Sheen, and David Tennant.  We also welcome content that isn’t smut!  The point is that we’re free to be feral, but it’s not compulsory. But we do need a few rules to keep the sub fun and safe.

Content Guidelines

TL;DR version: Don’t post brain rot. We’ll nuke it.

We are aggressively uninterested in “brain rot” content.  Post that somewhere else.  Not here.  We try to moderate with a light touch, but we want high-quality posts that will make the community laugh, think, drool, want to discuss, or want to argue and lovingly slap each other around.

All posts on the sub are subject to the whims of the mods and our flock of potoo birds, whether it’s something we remove or something we leave up.  If you have a question about something you want to post, modmail us. And if we remove something you posted, it’s not personal.

DO NOT post stuff like this.  It will be removed:
  • Screenshots of something with no context
  • No connection to Good Omens, Michael Sheen, David Tennant, other Good Omens adult cast members, or Terry Pratchett
  • Anything about Neil Gaiman
  • S3 speculation, rumors, petitions, rehashing of screams/shouts/cheers
  • Not Good Omens-related and has no connection to sub inside jokes or lore or the sub itself
  • Post title could reasonably contain the words “brain” and “rot”
  • Post title contains words like “how could I not” or “I see them everywhere”
  • “I saw this bag of garbage and it looks like Metatron’s face”
  • “I saw this box of hair and thought of y’all”
  • “I bought this thing and it’s Good Omens-themed”
  • “I heard this song and it made me think of Good Omens”
  • “Here is a black thing next to a white thing”
  • Requests for relationship or family advice
  • Requests for money that aren’t tied to Patreon/Ko-fi/open commissions
  • Posts focused on current or past wives/partners of GO cast members
  • Posts focused on kids of GO cast members or the kid GO cast members, even if they’re adult kids
  • Anything political
But this stuff is great!  Post lots of it!
  • Your own creative works!  Even if it’s not smut.  We want to celebrate and support our creative community.  And post your Patreon or Ko-fi too!
  • Relevant and funny memes
  • Other Good Omens-related creative works (properly credited and not from an author that doesn’t want their work reposted)
  • Trolling of the sub or sub members
  • Stuff related to Michael/David/other GO actors/authors that would benefit the community
  • Shitposts that engage the community, like GIF parties

Thanks for posting and commenting and being part of this big weird place!  You are the most excellent smutty and chaotic goblins.

Censorship Guidelines

TL;DR version: Don’t post dicks or cooters on the sub. Censor and link to the full version.

We love and want smut on the sub!  However, we can’t actually be designated a NSFW community by Reddit standards or we won’t be able to post pictures or GIFs in comments.  So we can’t have hardcore explicit content on the sub and must remove posts that are over the line.

Don’t post visual or written descriptions of genitalia on the sub itself.  Post censored versions of art and redacted fic excerpts. You’re welcome (and encouraged!) to link to the uncensored version. We will happily host your artwork on the GOAD Google Drive so you have a place to link to. Include trigger/content warnings prominently.

This is also really important:  Use the NSFW tag on your post if it’s something you wouldn’t want someone on the train or your Meemaw in her armchair to see over your shoulder while you’re scrolling.

For art:

  • Breasts and butts can be posted uncensored
  • Sex acts can be posted if genitalia aren’t visible or are censored
  • Fluids are fine as long as genitalia aren’t visible
  • Include trigger or content warnings in the post title; if warnings are included, please use the NSFW tag
  • You may include a link to the uncensored version hosted on your Patreon, Ko-Fi, Discord, or the sub file share

For fics:

  • Don’t include graphic descriptions of genitalia or sex acts
  • Descriptions of butts and breasts are fine
  • Include trigger or content warnings prominently before the fic/excerpt
  • The best practice is to post a summary or excerpt and link to the full work on AO3

Posts that violate these rules will be removed.  If this happens to you, you are encouraged to repost with the necessary censorship in place!  We want to enjoy your work–it just needs to be within the guidelines.

If you need somewhere to host your uncensored version, you’re welcome to upload anonymously to the sub’s Google Drive with this form and link to it there.

If you have questions about whether your work may need censorship, please modmail us!
